My journey into photography started just like anyone else’s. I owned a camera phone and at the time was only equipped with a basic point and shoot digital camera. I’ve always had a fascination with the city skyline, its different structures, and the endless vantage points. Working full time as a limo driver I always had the opportunity to shoot and shoot often in and around the city. My fascination soon met an even bigger outlet when I began exploring all the different Instagram users with my same passion.
When I came across this world, aside from being in awe, I began to see this city and its structures in light I never thought possible. Soon after that I decided to invest in a DSLR and never looked back. Using a camera like this was a totally new experience for me, I had no idea what I was doing! I remember shooting in Auto Mode for the first couple of days and looking at the EXF information to understand what the camera was doing. Thankfully I had friends that had knowledge and made the transition a bit easier.
Within a few weeks I had the basics covered, and I was off and running! I spent the better part of that summer shooting anything and everything, trying to learn as much as I could, I was hooked. My DSLR unleashed a passion I never knew I had. I shot sunrises, sunsets, moon, lighting, even an eclipse all in the first year!
After meeting some real great people that shared the same passion, I began to think. Here are a great group of talented individuals, how will I take a city that’s been photographed in every light possible, every day, every situation and possibly add my own style to it. The Instagram name I had was what I wanted people to feel when they looked at my shots. At times it required patience, some very cold temperatures, and an understanding of how important planning a shot is.
Fast forward to today, after much consideration, I have decided to open this webpage to share my vision. It's been an incredibly fun journey and don’t look to stop anytime soon. Photography has taught me so much and opened my eyes to pay attention to every detail and continue pushing the limits of my creativity. I’ve always believed that anyone can take a picture, but it takes something else to catch a moment and the story behind it. Thank You for visiting and if you're reading this and have been a part of the ride from the beginning, Thank You sincerely! This is only possible because of you.
